You've got to be kidding.

No one under the age of 30 ever gets sick or gets into a car accident. Even if they did, they would heal instantly without the intervention of a doctor.

I never sell insurance to anyone under 30. It is just unethical.

I agree with Alston, at early age health insurance may not be the primary requisite.

Insurance should always be purchased depending upon the necessities. You should evaluate your needs before taking the decisions. Our requirement for coverage keeps changing with the changes in our lives, and one is required to tune-in the coverage accordingly.

however, its nice to know that you're serious about securing your life and health. Keep participating, I'm sure you'll enjoy the stay here.

Angel, honey, its really nice that you've asked this question. Health is definitely a matter of utmost important and you should take good care to stay healthy, but it may not be the right age to invest into a health plan.

However, if you are still studying you can check out with the University health plans. Many educational institutes offer subsidized health care benefits to its students. Best of luck and stay healthy.

BTW its nice to see you back Alston :) hope to see you more on the board.

Regards,
Juanita

Thankz alston for your suggestion.what i should go for because tentel i asking me to get insured.....please give me a right suggestion so that i dont have to face any problem in future.

I agree with tentel, we purchase insurance to cover the future unseen events and you never know when an ailment can strike you. Hence, no age is ever too early to buy a protection and with the rising costs of health care, health insurance should remain a matter of high importance to everyone.

Sorry to be so sarcastic in my first response to you. I will try to give you the respect you deserve.

I only sell insurance in Connecticut so I probably can't help you directly.

However, I can give you some advice you might find useful. The most important thing is to protect your financial future. Getting coverage for routine doctors' visits is a secondary issue. You need to make sure that if you have a major car accident or develop a serious disease that you can continue to go forward with your life.

You can probably protect yourself from a major unending financial nightmare for $50 to $100 a month. This should be enough to cover a policy with a $5,000 deductible. Depending on your state you may be able to get a plan with a $1,500 deductible for about $100 a month. These deductibles sound high to you I'll bet, but a $5,000 debt is something that you can pay off. It is not large enough to ruin your life and keep you from owning a house or buying a car.

Check out your local Blue Cross, look for a local agent on this forum or contact your state's insurance department for a list of companies serving your area. You may be surprised at how little you will have to pay, if you are willing to pay for the smaller medical bills out of your pocket.

Good luck to you,
