Your still missing the point that if it is guaranteed issue, it is never too late to buy coverage. I am not arguing that healthy people shouldn't buy coverage. I'm merely pointing out the fact that guaranteed issue causes its own set of issues.

I believe that as much as possible, people with low risks should not be subsidizing those with high risk. This means that a healthy 23 year old male who participates in no dangerous activities, but is very active should pay less than a 23 year old healthy female who is 70 pounds overweight, smokes, and is on the U.S. Fatty Helicopter Skiing Team and is trying to get pregnant. |
