My teeth have fallen and I'm currently using dentures. Will dental insurance cover such implants? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

| Don't worry, there are many adults who're losing teeth these days. You could certainly go for dental implants. It just needs a surgery upon your jawbone. I'm sure you'll find separate coverage for such treatments. |

| I feel these dental implants are quite expensive. It could mean a lot of problem if you don't have insurance to cover the cost. At the same time you must remember that such policies would generally cover for basic implants, only a handful of them will cover cosmetic implants. |

Dental implants are generally NOT covered by standard dental policies unless deemed "medically-necessary" -- due to a traumatic injury to the mandible or maxilla. Simply having your teeth rot out of your head does not create a "medical necessity" to have them replaced with implants. They will, however, gladly pay for a cheap set of dentures. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent. CA Insurance Lic #0596197. I'd agree with Roddick and Max, not all carriers will cover implants. Again, for those who'd cover implants, they'd not cover all types of implants (or under all circumstances). It's very important that you read through the papers while signing up! _________________ Insuranceguy.ampminsure.org |

Guys, the bottom line is - dental implants insurance is definitely more expensive than the general dental insurance that we have in the market. There are some insurers who've specialized in providing dental implants insurance. If you may obtain such coverage, then you don't need to worry about dentures anymore. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Something else to consider . . . if you've already lost all your teeth and have dentures, you are likely to be declined for implant insurance -- you have a preexisting condition.
Just like you can't get auto insurance AFTER the accident (but some knucklehead legislator in the California state house wants to (or already has) introduce such legislation). _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent.
