Retired when, and after how many years?
With the exception of service connected disabilities, most health care benefits for veterans is poor to non-existent after separation from active duty. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent. Retired in '09 after 14 years of service. It's bad if there aren't any health care benefits aimed at women, who've served in the National guards. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

AS far as I know, 14 years of service does not qualify one for "retirement" from the Armed Forces. A minimum of 20 is required to the best of my knowledge, absent a service-connected disability as referenced above. _________________ CA-licensed P&C Broker-Agent and Life Agent. | You have to have 20 years active duty, Guard or Reserve or a combination, to be eligible for Tri Care. I'm not sure about what you would be eligible for from the VA, or the time limit. As was stated in prior posts unless you have a medical retirement. Check with your local VA office, they will be able to advise you on what benefits you are eligible for. |

First of all we should understand the basic need to go for veterans health insurance. Many of our war veterans have suffered from injuries. Now, since a lot of these injuries are major ones, veterans health insurance was set up. It takes care of the most important needs of our war vets. _________________ Insuranceguy.ampminsure.org |

There are some good packages that would not only protect you, but would rather cover the entire family. Check it out with the VHA! _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |
