What's MDCP? Does it cover disabled children? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

MDCP bears a part of your primary health coverage cost. It is not expensive and forms a good supplemental health insurance for Medicaid. It would certainly help you keep your child on the primary health insurance of your family. Thus it helps to reimburse a part of the monthly premiums that you pay.

Hi Steven,
There's no denying the fact that MDCP offers a lot of relief!
In order to fulfill your child's healthcare needs, you'd need to be in touch with caregivers who've specialized in analyzing needs, medications and other health-related issues. MDCP would pay for us to have this professional caregiver at home. You'd feel satisfied to have someone back home, who you can trust and who'd be able to take necessary steps as soon as your child needs medical attention. Roddick |

As a MDCP care provider or the primary care giver you can choose the provider of MDCP service. However, not many children receive the benefits from MDCP. In most cases I think it is a first come first serve basis. _________________ AmPmInsure Blog |

Hi Sil,
The waiver for medical supplies and equipments are not covered under health insurance in general.
It also bears the mileage cost or offers transportation reimbursement towards appointments with doctors or for therapies.
Hope that's quite helpful! Roddick |

You may look through your State dept. of Aging and disabilities website to know more about the waiver programs offered in your state as well as the application processes. It might be bit difficult if you wanna navigate through the medicaid waivers, but it's really helpful for children with medical issues. It could also be beneficial if you're looking for respite care for your child. Playboy _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Did we mention the medicaid eligibility for children?
If a child has to qualify for medicaid, his family income and assets have to be evaluated by the govt. I think it could be a problem to some children. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |
