Hi, the managed care organization that was there with my Medicare program is no more with the program. What do I need to do in this regard? BarbieL _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Hi,
As far as I'd remember it is up to the managed care organizations to decide whether or not they would continue with the medicare and choice plan. In case they would like to withdraw, they would need to inform the HCFA within July1.

Well, my friend you'd now have 2 choices at your court. You might just choose to return to your initial fee-for-service plan. In that case you'd need to bridge the gap with a medi-gap policy. On the other hand, you may opt for another managed care plan (medicare). Alternatively, you may choose any private plan.

I would suggest going to www.medicare.gov and about halfway down the page is the link to find medicare health plans in your area. You put in your zipcode and it gives you a list of all available HMO, PPO, and PFFS plans available to you, along with the premiums, estimated yearly out of pocket and list of benefits.
If you have any questions about the plans, please post back here and I will be glad to help. _________________ http://newagentsolutions.ampminsure.org |
