Do you mean that whether or not you would remain covered under the policy of your parents when you turn 18?
Well, coverage under your parent's plan would expire with your turning 18 (some state its 21 yrs.). However, the child may still remained covered past the age if he/she continues as a full time student.

Also...........if the child is on ACCESS Medical/Medicare, the coverage will stop if the child turns 18. I don't think it matters if the child is a full time Student or not.

It will depend on the policy you are on and the state you are in. My kids coverage continued on a conditional basis. After they turned 18 the only way the coverage continued was if they were enrolled as full time college students. And my company did check about the enrollment status. If anyone was caught lying about the dependent status of their kids they lost their job. Check with your parents about going to school.

I can see HANAN's pont of view. If you're telling your employer that your child IS a Full time student, and he/she really isn't, that ( of course) is being dishonest with the employer. Especially..if the employer is covering your child through THEIR Insurance.

Well it all depepnds on what you are doing at that time.As many student usually start to earn by that time or do a part time job this thing do not apply.
Correct me if i am wrong.I am new for the student insurance but have heard about it.
Better do some full time college and you will get the coverage done.
but sometime there are many insurance companies that do not provide too much coverage then they may end up with some loss of protection beyond 18.
