My uncle in Greece is facing a big problem. His new home has just completed. Before the completion of first year of house, his house unfortunately caught fire through a short circuit fault. After investigation, he came to know that the mistake was done by the electrician. He made some of the connections very loose which resulted in the happening.
His insurance company somehow came to know this and now they are not ready to pay for the damage. They say that my uncle should sue the electrician and the cost of the damage should be payed by him.
My uncle is really tensed....
What should he do know? Should he move to the court against the electrician or the insurance company?
Please help me...and thanks in advance _________________ INDIAN_TUSHAR

File a claim against the electrical contractors liability policy. _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. | I don't know about liability and insurance in Greece but I'd guess it's the same. If so, this makes no sense. A person's own insurance is no void if someone else is at fault. It pays just the same. If someone else is at fault the insurance pays for the loss and then attempts to collect their money back from the at fault party. |

Since neither one of us understand how insurance and liablitly laws work in Greece. If his carrier denied it based on this fact...then I would file a claim against the electrical contractor. In this country his homeowners would've taken care of it no question...then if they thought they could prove negligence pursued the electrician themselves, for recovery of the money they paid out...apparently in Greece it doesn't work that way(?) _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake.
