i tripped and fell in early janurary my lawyer finally sent the papers to the adjuster or insurance company what happens now

The adjuster will review the information and contact the attorney to start the settlement discussions. It's possible that the adjuster may need additional information. This process can take anywhere from a couple of days to several weeks or perhaps a couple of months. If they cannot come to an agreement, your attorney can file suit. It's very rare that these matters are not settled within 30 days. As offers are made to your attorney, he/she should be sharing this information with you.
Keep in mind that _you_ are paying your attorney 33% of the settlement for his/her services.

Ideally, the adjuster should settle the matter within thirty business days. However, the investigation process might take longer time given the nature of the claim. at this juncture you can't do much but need to wait for the adjuster to contact you and IMO when you have send all the relevant documents to him/her you may not have reason to worry.

I am going through this right now and it took two months just for the other side to contact my atty office. They did request more info and it was sent and then requested more documents and those were sent. So far it has been a little over two and a half months since they doc's were sent. I am sure T scope is right and there are alot faster adjuster...mine probaly just had a heavier case load. You also will half to pay your atty 33 and a third. I actually wish I would have found this site before getting an atty but this was my first time ever involved and I wasn't really injured until things just weren't healing.
You have come to a great place here. I do not know how I would have gotten this far with out the support of the people here. Stop back in if you need anything else.

I can see how that would make a big difference. I thought maybe this was how all the cases worked but I guess when you throw in some complications it could drag out as mine has.
