It was foolish of me to have my HO insurance policy lapsed!
I just didn't have a single penny to pay for it. Once I got a check, I was there to pay it off, but it was quite late by then. I don't have a good credit too, and due to this I'm not being able to grab a coverage anymore. Any suggestions for me at this juncture? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

shop around, that's all you can do..Call every agent in your phone book. I'm sure there is some carrier out there that will insure you however, I'm sure it won't come as a surprise that your rates will be huge. Also check your states dept of ins web site..there may be some information there about those with trouble getting coverage. _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. I feel you'd come across some quote offers if you're gonna try out online quote forms e.g. einsurance or equote. Usually you have a number of carriers queuing up for such offers. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Won't there be any force placed insurance from the mortgage holder? I've seen that happen quite a few of times with vehicle lien holders. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

I hope it will not specifically cover all your belongings. You must also consider the fact that it's too expensive. _________________ Insuranceguy.ampminsure.org |

Thanks for all your responses! Actually, I'm in Florida and home insurance is quite expensive over here. In addition, carriers would only offer limited protection on hurricanes. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

foolishmind, I feel your pain. Florida is THE most expensive state in the country to buy homeowners coverage. The whole deal with State Farm and their issues makes things even more fun.
If the lender force-places coverage, it will be for the dwelling and any permanent outbuildings only. There won't be any coverage for your personal belongings, or "unscheduled personal property."
Sorry...
