I am lost, and don't know what to do about my situation. I have lost my wedding ring. It was insured for $36,499.00, and it was under scheduled personal property. I believe my ring was stolen. Now my insuance company said that it was not most likely to happen. So they denied my claim. I did everything that the insurance company people asked me to do, but the at the end they still denied my claim. Please help me!

I'd really love to know what all your carrier would consider to be "most likely". Do whatever, go through your paper works or call up your agent but keep me informed.

Have you received the written denied claim letter from the insurer? What does it state?
I believe my ring was stolen.
Have they conducted an investigation about the missing ring? And if so, what has caused them to believe that its not the case?
May be you need to read the policy document more carefully, especially the exclusion part.

Did you file a police report on the stolen ring? If you told your insurance company you thought your ring was stolen that probaly threw a red flag in their eyes. How do they know this maybe stolen ring does not reappear ofter they have paid the value on it? Perhaps they think you are just not sure what happened to it and it is possible for it really not to be lost. It sounds as if they really believe it was not stolen. That is why I ask if you had a ploice report. This would show you just do not think it is stolen but in fact know it is. There could be a huge differnce there. I would also reread my policy just to make sure there is no exclusions. Maybe your agent could review it with you and see if maybe the problem lies in the policy.

It may not cover "mysterious disappearance", which means it's not stolen but just gone. Police report is essential and other supporting evidence that it was actually stolen.
