The insurance companies can draw-up a duplicate policy document in case you can't locate the policy. But it took a long to convince to the manager and complete the formalities, after maturity of short term policy. Posted: Thu Mar 05, 2009 4:01 pm   Post subject:    if you have the policy number stored somewhere ( most of the guys store it either it on their e-mail or personal diary) then you need to take it out those first and then search on the website of the insurer. you will get a perfect information about your policy docs.if you submit them only the policy number.take the printouts.prepare one affidavit that you have lost the original docs.submit this affidavit along wit the printout which you have just printed from the website.
