I read your blog on Aflac and you indicated if you knew where or what region the person is, you could help inform. Well I live in MD suburbs outside of Washington DC but considered Washington Metropolitan area | cdplayertime | 1 week, 6 days, 13 hours, 28 minutes, 19 seconds ago. The big questions, really, is on you. Do you have the "oooomph" that it takes to put your (insert body part here) on the line? If you make it in this business, you can do reeeeeeeeally well. If you don't- you'll have a different job in six months and hate this business. If you're an average person and can admit to yourself that you don't have that big-time work ethic and aren't willing to put in massive hours your first few years, then maybe not. This is a different kind of work ethic, and you're not punching a time clock.
If you can tell me the state where you live, there's a good chance that I know management in that state. I don't work for Aflac, however I run a division at work that deals heavily with them all over the country so I might be able to give you some insight. I cut and pasted this from a previous response you had addressed to a question. | cdplayertime | 2 weeks, 12 hours, 30 minutes, 26 seconds ago. Hi InsTeacher. I am considering working for them. | hurtarte30 | 2 months, 2 weeks, 5 days, 10 hours, 14 minutes, 55 seconds ago. Thank you answering my post. I live in Humble, Texas just outside of Houston. Right now I am preparing to take my licence state exam. Someone advise me to try to sale other products in addition to Aflac's products since i will be in front of business owners often. Do you have any suggestions on what other companies I should look into?? | hurtarte30 | 4 months, 4 days, 13 hours, 5 minutes, 2 seconds ago. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I live in Humble- Kingwood Tx area, just outside of Houston. I feel that I have what it takes to make it, the problem is that I know little about the insurance business. I just to work for a music label but we all know how people no longer buy cds. I currently have other sales job but I do not see he income potential I would like. Is seem that in the insurance business you really can make good $$ if you are willing to pay the price. I love the idea of getting paid proportionally to your effort. With my wife still working I only need to make about 35K a year is this amount realistic for my first year in insurance sales? What other companies would you suggest I look into? I have been told that some companies offer paid training?? | InsTeacher | 5 months, 4 weeks, 1 day, 6 hours, 41 minutes, 28 seconds ago. Supplemental policies are usually offered through your workplace...is this the case? If so, you probably won't be able to cancel your coverage until you are in an "open-enrollment" period at your workplace. Is this what's going on? |

Since the beginning of May I have left many msgs and called numerous times to get the correct process of cancelling my life insurance policy through them. I just can't afford it at this time. Every time I call, I am promised a call back and we are now at the 22 of May and I know the office won't re-open until Tues. May 26th. This means more than likely I will have another $45.00 taken out of my checking account because I have not been able to cancel my policy! How would I fight something like this? | Pinner | 6 months, 1 week, 3 days, 19 hours, 36 minutes, 36 seconds ago. I wish I hadn't posted this. | |
