Hello, I am new to this forum...
The Insurance card is bothering me!
Is it necessary to carry it along with me wherever I go?

Insurance card is a proof of your insurance and it contains the basic information about the insurance policy.

In some states it is mandatory to carry the card along with you. You need to produce that at traffic stop or to a law enforcement officer. So far my knowledge is concerned it is mandatory for Washington and Arkansas states. Call your local DMV office for the state info.

Thanks.

If a cop asks for your license and proof of insurance, you better have it. If it's for car insurance, keep it with you if your car is anywhere other than your garage. Even if it's not mandatory in your state, the laws can change overnight, or you might drift into another state where it is the law.

For other forms of insurance, I'm not particularly sure, but if a cop can ask for it, you should keep it.

Hi..I guess it is better to keep it with you while you are traveling within the state or out of the state. At the same time you need to be aware of the different state laws associated with your driving.
