I received their e-mail today an enjoyed being stroked to the point that I registered for the initial web interview in 3 days. After reading these posts, and the fact that this $1000 training fee is mentioned nowhere on their website that I was instructed to read thoroughly, I will do the 1st part on Monday then laugh for the rest of the day. Thanks Again!

The reviews of Buffet Senior Healthcare Corp. that are appearing here are unfortunate but very much true! Once I got appointed and worked with this terrible company. I never got paid for a single plan I sold!! Moreover, BEWARE of this company as the Texas Dept. of Insurance is looking into them for fraudulent activities and mishandling company funds.

My "2nd interview" is in about 10 minutes. I'm glad I was able to get a better since of this company. With some of the questions posed here I think I'm going to rip this "regional director"or whatever he is a new one!

Cheers

I have my 2nd appoint with them Tuesday...I was doing my investigating and was very surprised to find...nothing! If you search their name with the last word scams...they own it! It has their advertising. Ripoff Reports only says their a great company and basically all you see is company propaganda! Then i knew something was wrong...they must have paid them off big time... Embarassed

I was due to have the glorified second interview today, but honestly, my time is far more valuable then to sit through an hour and find out that I have to pay to play. If this is a legit company,in no way would they be asking for $1000 up front. Period.

Lots of companies do something like this. A person cannot simply decide to open a McDonald's restaurant on his/her own, he/she must pay a franchise fee, and jump through a lot of other hoops.

The decision is yours to make, and you made one.

just finished 2nd interview, seemed like a lot of info that just goes so fast you have no chance to take it all in. seemed very clueless about my state or facts, really entire process seems a little juvenile and redundant, I was just hoping to find a place to make lots of money....Really do not think this is it... Sad

PostPosted: Tue Apr 07, 2015 9:13 pm   Post subject: Paying for Training

I was told by a financial adviser friend that having the insurance agent pay for training is unacceptable. No new employee should have to shell out money for the necessary mandatory training, especially if the "tuition" is up front. What happens if the agent does not make the quota for sales? Basically, the agent is out of the "tuition" money and is in worse shape before applying for the position. And the potential candidate is not given the EXACT amount of the tuition until the third Internet interview. Not good.

That is such a terrible shame that this company is still out there still practicing like that. What's the point? All it does is shame their business in the end, is it worth the dollars you can get prior to your business crashes? Ugh. I've been though situations like this before, that's why I'm doing a lot more research before I sign my mother-in-law up for any plans via an agency. Right now I'm looking at Killian Insurance (killianinsure.com) for senior health insurance information, since they give free consultations and quotes regarding retirement funding, long-term care funding, life insurance, medicare supplements, dental/vision, etc. so that is already a good sign. Any input please let me know!
