Rick you amaze me in what and how you write i really do not think I could have put this post any better myself. I do have one little correction to make and really it is just an addition. New York Life one of the best insurance companies in the industry, great benefits, great for agents just starting out and a great training program. I worked for a few of the other ones listed there, but I have to say my personal experience with NYL has been the best so far.

It is important to find a company where you feel comfortable. NYL is that place for me anyway.

Your point on a seperae tax account is KEY! people just do not realize how important that is. (NYL your first 2 years they withdraw your taxes for you) nice for when you just start out however you have to get used to doing it on your own as well.

If there is any questions my real name isn't Rick Blaine. In fact since I now have my IA License and will actively seek a relationship with a B/D (so I can use it) and while I don't fall under NASD, I can not afford the idea of any thing I post to influence my contracts. I'm known as James on another board, that is my "Real" first name, but Rick Blaine is kind of a character I play with from yet another insurance forum known as top gun producer. The host there goes by Rick Blaine, I won't mention his real name either but is well known over at several financial forum boards well known also, I'm not saying is well thought of!

So I apologize for any misconceptions about this story. When I wrote it over there I thought I would share it here, never dawned on me that anyone would question the integrity of my post. Such as with the rolling chart about buying term or wl I posted. I don't know of many agencies over the years that don't use that chart, it has been out there for a while now and no of no one who can claim any ownership of it. If there was then one would see a Copyright notice of it, there is none that I know of so if you want to use it, I don't see why you can not, it is in the area of public domain.

Yet I'm here because someone here went over to the other site and ask for some of us to check this place out, so here I am. I am also known as Tennesseaman at the older forums that is now coming back known as Insuranc Forums, the old one that was severely damage by some hackers. Yet all of this could of been better done if the rule of links be removed, I don't know any other public forum of any note that have that rule? I have never experience that a rule like that is of any benefit in the long run. It tends to prevent the sharing of ideas, I would of just assume place a link to my story and the ideas of people traveling back and forth from one board to the other would IMHO only increase this sites participation with a larger community as a whole.

Just my opinion, who says that? I says that!
