I read through these posts and am very interested in this field. I never would've thought so but it is VERY intriguing. How does one go about becoming an agent? I mean I have a real estate license (I had school) is it the same type of deal with insurance agents. Or is 4 years required. ETC.

I will pass along a piece of wisdom a friend of mine gave me some time ago . . .
"People looking for "luck" never do what it takes to achieve success and always seem disappointed at what life has dealt them. People looking to be "blessed" will do whatever it takes, never focusing on the price, but rather, keeping their eye disciplined in their actions and work with faith that they will win."
Now, I'm not sure that my friend is the original composer of this, but it's still good advice.

You will be needing other license as applicable in your areas...
And I can assure you friend that his job is very rewarding and you can gain lots and lots of experience in very short time but this is onl possible if you are serious and enthusiastic about your job...
And in few years, you can become an independent agent and run your own firm or company...
