Wow, what a bunch of misinformation on this board. First Aflac is not a captive company. That is why they have so many independent agents contracted. They have a great product and lots of insurance agents want to market Aflac along with whatever else they do. Aflac is not multi-level marketing. You do not need extra income, just motivation and training. You will probably be interviewed by a regional sales coordinator. Ask to meet with the district sales coordinator that will be training you. That is the most important person to you when you are starting out. As far as which company you should choose? Aflac has been named to the list of worlds most ethical companies for 4 years in a row. No other insurance company has been so honored.

| Nothing wrong with Aflac, they are a reputable company with an A+ rating. All I have to say is get ready to work. You have to do a lot of door knocking on businesses and have thick skin. Many agents love working with Aflac. If this is you go for it. Remember: It doesn't matter if you think you can or you can't, You are Right! Good luck to you and Good selling! |

This is my concern....while training, how am I going to make my house payment, car payment, utilities, internet, and so on? I won't be making a commission, and won't have a paycheck? I can't NOT pay these bills, and have no one else to pay them for me.
I know I could do this job, but those first few months, how do you make ends meet? I'm not worried about what I make down the road, I know I can do that, I'm worried about how I'm going to keep my home while I'm training.
No one seems to want to answer that anywhere I look.

How did you pay your bills when you were going to college - or was someone else paying your bills? You could get a part time job, many people work two jobs. If you really believe you would be succeed with Aflac, do what you have to do to make it work. You'll be glad later.

Looking for info on aflac in ca, fresno to be exact. How's the training, structure of company. Is. There support or is it fly on your own what could I expect good and bad thanks for any input

| I think that AFLAC as a career is a great option. With the powerful marketing behind you and the support system of the corporate headquarters, you can't go wrong. Also, you are the business owner, if you can manage your time and get after it, you will have all the support that you need. It has amazing structure, yet you can schedule your own appointments so if you need to pick your kids up from school or want to go on one of the many trips that you can win from AFLAC, you will be able to have the time to go. It is amazing! |

I was in an aflac office the first quarter of this year... all paper work filled out and appliacation fee as well as fingerprinting performed... problem... manager screwed up application input and to date.. I have not received "writer number" from the state of GA .. I have to say the company training (which the district manager has nothing to do with) is excellent. the hands on training is the worst training I have ever encountered. Having been a sales trainer myself.. when I scheduled a training session... I did not cancel .. this was done by manager so many times till.. well .. it just makes the fire go out. I know from what I speak.. I would never recommend NE GA district hope you find a better district surely there must be one somewhere in GA
