Hi Rhosummer, you may be well aware that there are no definite answers to your questions. IMO no insurance agent would commit that you would become a millionaire in two years since it would largely depend upon your ability in becoming a successful agent.

Even to earn your first contact you need start from obtaining the license. All agents need to be licensed to be able to sell insurance policies. So, have you got the license yet?

Hi rhosummer,

Yes, obtaining the license is one big step ahead at being an insurance agent. But I guess,

before you'd get your license you need to invest a lot of time studying the different laws

and scenarios that you'd face as an insurance agent.

Did someone tell you that it's the easiest way to become a millionaire?

All I can say is that there is no real way made-easy that helps you to earn success without sincerity and hard work.

You have not mentioned your qualifications so that I may weigh your chances as a financial planner. Also, remember that in order to be successful you'd need to be a specialist at what you're doing. On the other hand, you might just end up being the "Jack" of all trades. Smile

All the best,
Steven

It's often said that being an insurance agent can be the easiest 100K that you've ever made, or it can be the hardest 25K you've ever made. Simply put, you are building a business and it should be a long term commitment. Although it is possible to become a millionaire within 2 years, it's not very likely.

In fact, if your primary focus is to become a millionaire within two years...you will find yourself overworked and stressed with no quality of life. My goal is to make a comfortable living, which I do, by doing the right thing for the right client. I don't ever want to have to apologize for my actions and I want to be proud that I do what I do.

Insurance is like any other sales career, and there are Top-Flying Eagles...and Suicidal Turkeys! Whatever you choose, pick a niche and stick to it. It's better to be a specialist than offer everything (and not really be comfortable with your products).

Good luck, and let us know what your plans are!

By the way, a great goal would be build a residual income that will make you a millionaire. Wouldn't you like to get paid long after you retire? It's possible!
