Having a interview with farmers on monday..Any advice

is it realistic to write 40 policies a month as a new agent? Is there any questions i should ask at the interview

over a policy a day? better have lead money and good auto rates

Well, sure the agents of this community would going to give you better replies but IMO the feasibility of the target would greatly depend upon the line of insurance you have chosen to operate into.

I'm sure that life and annuity agents sell lesser number of policies in a month than the P&C agents. Hence, the field would be an important determinant.

Spend the weekend preparing for the interview - do research and develop a business plan. If for some reason your interview doesn't have the results you would like, you haven't wasted your time. Your business plan will serve you very well in your career.

Things to include in your business plan include marketing strategies, financing ability / budget / capital, sales goals, income goals, etc. Basically it will include everything that you will do to reach your goals.

Chris is absolutely right. Doing research & developing a business plan is very important. It will definitely give a boost to your preparations for the interview.

geeeze, I don't know 40 a month sure seems high..and that's 40 'bound' policys NOT 40 quotes right? Since it's farmers I assume you would be writing multiline (ie auto, home, health, boat, life etc), is that correct?
