Let me tell you one thing. If you are new in this field, then avoid mailings and phone calls. Try to communicate with your prospects only through face to face communication. This will impress them and make you confident also.

I primarily market through my websites. I offer medical insurance for Connecticut individuals and families.
However, there is a pretty big investment of time and money necessary to market this way.
One low tech way to find clients is to work with agents who market other lines of insurance.
You can, for example work with P&C agents who don't want to sell individual health insurance. If they are licensed for health, you can split commissions with them. There are agents out there who get more leads than they can work, believe it or not.
You will really have to sell yourself as a professional when approaching an established agent with this deal.
They are not going to want to risk their reputation or lose a client because of something you might do.

Yes, Mr.Tentel is right..Create a blog and keep promoting it in various forums and groups until you start getting regular visitors.Place your link in various places in your blog so it could attract visitors.
Iwould advice you to start with a blog as it will not cost you anything.The only thing which you will be investing is your time in creating and promoting your blog.After 6 months of promoting, you won't be needing any furthrt promotion ann visitors will visit your blog regularly.

there are some more ways to attract customers..promote your business among your mates, friends..tell them about you..i can guarantee that they will do promotion for you, although very little but better than nothing..
Then it's in your hands to convert them into your customers
