I am planning on making a career change. I have decided to sale insurance for a living. I heard that some companies offer paid training. Does anyone know what companies offer this type of deal to new agents?? I live in Humble-Kingwood, Tx. Just oustside Houston Tx. Any information will be greatly appreciated!!

Well, I'm also curious to know more about such paid training companies. Does such training really meet our industry standards? I'm sure there are many insurers who offer training for freshers, but they're insurers and not training companies.

If such training is being offered by an insurer, then I'm sure it's gonnabe result oriented. They'd have their own interest to help a new agent grow and be productive.

There are too many agents out there that are willing to train for free, for them to pay you to do it. The market is flooded right now with agents.

Outside of the Series 7 securities industry, paid training does not typically happen with insurance companies. The primary reason is that state laws prevent compensating anyone for transacting insurance without a license.

Banks may have employment opportunities as a CSR that lead to insurance licensing, paid for by the bank. But this is a somewhat different approach than becoming an agent of an insurance company.
