by dtrmind » Tue Mar 24, 2009 04:22 am

I am looking into using a predictive dialing system through a company called touch star.
they seem very customer oriented and things seem to be going well so far. keep in mind, they havent gotten my money yet so who knows...lol
But I am looking to see if anyone has been successfull using this aproach for life insurance and what was your experience?
and if any one out there knows anything about touch star I would like to hear your opinions.
thanks and I hope to get a ton of feed back on this one.

Okay, this dialers are in use in the offshore call centers & working pretty well for them. So, are you using the soft dialer or the more traditional hard dialer?

Well, this is not a first hand experience, but a friend of mine has used Touchstar and wasn’t very satisfied with their service. According to him the connection with the system gets disconnected very frequently resulting in loss of business time.

The connections would often get disturbed due to adverse climatic conditions. We'd need to understand how this voice-data-transfer works. Apart from that, different dialer-systems have different capacities. There are dialers who'd approach even 1,00,000 parties at once. The latest systems are equipped to distinguish between an answering machine and a human voice and throw calls through the CSR-queue at a much higher frequency than before.

Im not sure what kind of dialer it is, I know I have to pay 30 for a soft phone, but Im not completely sure of what that is. I think it is an icon on my computer screen that I can click to turn on or off.
well box, I didnt want to hear that. I will have to ask some tough questions when I speak to them today. they have a pretty bullet proof contract as well, doesnt leave any room for error on their part.
thanks for the input.
anyone know of a system that has worked well for them or someone else that I should look into? the cost for this is 130 to set up and 110 a month, but they add long distance fees which they charge .019 cents per minute of "talk" time, which I am guessing will be about 60-70 extra a month.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks for the feed back so far.

I know some have had success with professional telemarketing solutions using the dialer for health ins leads. I've never used them & do have any affiliation with them. If I recall correctly they are less exensive and no equip to buy. just use your own phone.

Predictive dialers are better than dialing the numbers yourself.

We use a system that allows you to dial 50-1,000 numbers at a time.

Check out our site and view the demo.

Have any questions give me a shout.

I have used one called "make my calls" that was pretty good. In testing it out I found that it was most effective in working through long lists of older leads quickly. Doing this manually is very time consuming and hard to keep track of.

I still prefer to call my leads that are less than two months old manually because it is easier to keep their details straight on paper for me. I found that when I added than into the predictive dialer I would end up calling them too many times and that becomes annoying to them, whereas on paper I will set a specific call back time each time we talk.

I loved the way the predictive dialer would blaze through the old leads and get reid of the wrong numbers and disconnects. I also liked not having to listen to all the voicemail and answering machines.

THanks
Mac
