Do telemarketers work on commission?

Yes they do get commissions other than a fixed salary. They get incentives on top of basic pays, so that they make more sales.

I'm not sure if this post is still relevant since this thread was started a couple of years ago. But nowadays, most of the independent insurance agents I know do hire telemarketers to generate leads.

They said it just makes things easier and faster. And that with them around, they can focus more on more important tasks. I guess, they mainly hire what they call virtual assistants who specializes in telemarketing and stuff.

My husband have been wanting to sell insurance for a while now. He had it planned, but it's a bit difficult for him to change from one industry to another. If he pursues this, should he hire a VA or telemarketer?

Although those independent agents we know serve as good examples, aren't virtual assistants costly as well? Please help.
