It is important as a new agent to make sure you have a mentor. You will need someone to walk you through different carrier requirements, sales methods, marketing, etc... You want to make sure you are paid fairly and also that you are able to leave and take your business should you feel the need to. You can get your license while you are in college. There are simple online courses for you to take to study to get your license. It may be better for you to start now if you aren't already too overwhelmed with your college studies.
