Can my ex take a policy out on me?

Posted: Mon Oct 05, 2009 8:59 pm   Post subject: Can my ex take a policy out on me?   I discovered a life insurance policy my ex-boyfriend had taken out on me 8 months before we split, naming him as the sole beneficiary but me as the owner. I was not involved in the application process, was unaware of any of it and he has been paying the premium for the past six years. You can change the beneficiary and he won't know about it, but he'll continu paying the premiums. You don't remember applying for the coverage, but you probably did do so. It would give you an opportunity to clarify your intentions regarding the beneficiary status.
