My father had a life insurance policy with me named as the beneficiary. I didn't know when he included my ex-husband as a beneficiary as well. Now that we're divorced, can I claim for the entire benefit?

No, you're not entitled to the entire benefit amount. It will be divided between you two according to the percentage specified in the beneficiary form. If the policy has his name on it, he’ll receive his share of the money. The divorce will not affect that in any way.
