You can find out a company in the following ways,

Contact a life insurance agent. you may contact an independent agent for comparative study of the various plans available in the market and also the costs.

Ask friends and family. They are often a very good source of information. And can help you with the decision making process.

Lastly, you may check with the state insurance department's website for the list of providers in your area. Also, you may dig little bit more on their client services and claim payment goodwill in order to make an informed choice.

There are several leading term life insurance companies.

Each year, a list of leading term life companies is issued based on number of individual term life insurance policies issued.

Here's a list of top term life insurance companies << term-life-online.com/top-term-life-insurance-companies.html.

When comparing plans and companies make sure you review the financial rating of the insurer.

Also, you can choose coverage for 10, 15, 20, or 30 years.

Consider renewable term life insurance as this allows you to renew your policy without having to take a physical exam to qualify again.

Also, the conversion privilege allows you to convert your term life insurance policy to a permanent life insurance policy by a certain date in the future.

Hi Hadley:

You can go to ustermlife.net and run your own life insurance quote on various term life plans available. It uses highly rated insurers and makes getting term life plans very easy.

Gonna out my '2 cents' in. Someone had posted AFLAC........I don't have the best experience with them, that's for sure!! Life Insurance CAN get confusing. Whether, or not, Whole or Term is 'better', etc. It DOES get confusing.

Well, Sd, I'm sure that you are not the only one with a bad experience with a certain insurance company. We all at some given point of time has had experienced hardship with the insurers. The consumer experience varies extensively, when Mr. A is satisfied with Company X, Mr.B has a very different idea about it.

The OP has to make his own choice, we can only provide him with an unbiased list of companies in the business.

What is your date of birth? What state do you reside in? How much coverage are you looking for? How many years of coverage, 10, 15, 20, 30? Are you on any medications? Do you have any medical conditions? What is your height and weight?

If you answer these questions, I can get you some quotes for several different companies.

One person's opinion.

Working with a local a agent is usually a more appropriate choice. That agent, if he/she knows what they are doing, will interview you to properly determine what type of life insurance is best suited to your current and future needs. It could be a term policy today, which is convertible into a cash value policy in the future. Or it could be a cash value policy from Day One. Each person's needs are different, and there is no single solution that fits all situations.

Don't believe an agent who says there is only one kind of life insurance that is "right" for everyone, including a Primerica agent who only has term life insurance to offer you.

You will probably not find that answer in an "online" life insurance calculator.
