Hi girlygirl, shall I presume that an executor is responsible for the proceedings of your parent's property? if so, then the best way to find out about the policies is by contacting the executor. He's the person responsible for,

  • identifying the estate before the court
  • appraise the value of the property
  • clear the unpaid debts and taxes
  • distribute the property to the exact beneficiaries named in the will.

hey girly, if you are not the named beneficiary under your parent's policies, you'll not receive the benefits. Hence, you first need to clarify whether you were at all enlisted in the policies or those belong to you sister alone.

However, you can still contest if you don't agree with your sister being the primary beneficiary.

Probate is normally a time consuming process. So, just be patient, you may soon hear from the executor regarding the benefits payable towards the beneficiaries of the life policies. And, if your name is there, you'll receive your portion. Best of luck Very Happy

Why do you think this? Have you made the probate judge aware of this? Why would she do this?
