You may contact his lawyer or the financial advisor if you know him. Also you might contact the employer of your ex-spouse or his existing family members for information.

The bank statement and the tax return of your ex husband may also work as the source of information. If you have the access to his bank account you can contact the bank official and request for the information. Contacting the department of insurance is another way. Also get in touch with the county court or the executor of his property to know the status of his estate. There were several discussions on the board on situations similar to yours.
