The bank statement and the tax return of your ex husband may also work as the source of information. If you have the access to his bank account you can contact the bank official and request for the information.
Contacting the department of insurance is another way. Also get in touch with the county court or the executor of his property to know the status of his estate.

Look thru his check book, contact his employer was he in contact with anyone?
