A part of the premium that you pay towards your Ulip is deducted to meet charges. While some charges like premium allocation charge are deducted upfront as a percentage of the premium, other charges like fund management charge, mortality charge and administration charge are deducted after your money has been invested and from the invested corpus. Fund value is the total value of your funds on a particular date. Annualised premium is the amount you pay to the insurer on an yearly basis. Sum assured is the amount on which risk cover is taken.
