Sorry to hear of your parents passing. You have my sympathy. Did either have any old checkbook registers or bills laying around that may have shown any payments to a life insurance company? How about a will with an atty that would have left instructions on the [policy?

I'm sorry, too. I had posted, on another thread, that me and my family are very close. Both of my parents are still alive.....thank goodness. I don't know how I would handle it, when they pass away.

Nisha, you may find some useful information in the following threads, some other members have discussed the issue that's similar to yours. I'm so very sorry that you have lost both your parents.

I think it's SOOO important to have something, in writing about Life Insurance you may have, Wills,etc...just for 'peace of mind'. This way your children aren't 'guessing' what to do and how to go about things. I'm CONSTANTLY thinking about how I can put everything into 'perspective', so my son doesn't have to do the 'guessing'.

Thats really a good idea..good thinking..I forgot about life insurance offered through the work place. My hubby has all three of us insured through there and the company also adds to the benefits by giving covering their employers with an automatic $150 000 and a years wages. All the poster would have to proba;ly do is visit or maybe call the employer..I would go personally.
