A 80Ft Silver Maple fell on our home June 2009 during a windstorm. The majority of damage was done to the front of the hose, but the tree did extend over the house and lots of workmen, etc were walking on back of house, consequently,leaks developed on the rear of the house. The insurance paid for repair of one rear roof leak by patching an area of the roof. Another leak appeared close to the original spot. The insurance company is now saying that our three year old rear roof was installed improperly and they will not pay for the consequent leak. The roof was installed May 2006 and did not leak prior to the tree falling on the house. Our Contracter feels that the rear roof should also be replace because it is difficult to pinpoint a leak in a roof. The insurance company did pay for an entire new roof on the front of the house, plus all the damange and cleaning to the inside of our home and have been great to work with to this point. What options do I have to get the rear roof repaired properly?[left:2537719c4f][/left:2537719c4f]

First of all unless you've received a denial in writing, it's not been denied, regardless of what the adjuster said.I'd ask for a written explaination along with whom the expert was that said the roof was installed incorrectly and EXACTLY what is incorrect about it's installation. Then I would ask to speak to the adjuster supervisor. In the meanwhile I would get as many roofing contractors on my roof as I could, and ask their opinions (in writing). After receiving these I would present them to the carrier again.
