If I pay Statefarm for homeowners insurance.. is this considered a "PMI insurance"? Or PMI insurance coverage that is given out by the actual mortgage lender?

NO, statefarm would insured the dwelling, contents, some liability coverages, etc.

You pay your PMI with your mortgage payment every month...to your lender...remember you can generally get that removed once your balance is 80% or less than the homes value..

Hi guest

PMI insurance is a safety measure your lender wants you to take for them. Homeowner's and PMI are different. For more information on PMI, you may read this
