My home burned down while I was on vacation. The insurance adjuster accused me off arson but paid my claim? Are they serious or just digging?

TSCOPE...(just curious here..) if the Insurance company REALLY thought that it was caused by arson, wouldn't an investigation be done before a claim would be paid out? The Insurance company DOES have that right to 'hold back' if 'foul play' was thought.
