insurance coverage for borrowed car

Posted: Mon Jan 03, 2011 3:19 am   Post subject:    Its automatic... even if you were 12. State law requires financial responsibility in the use of the vehicle (in all but about 3 states). Having insurance meets that responsibility. So an insurance company cannot exclude coverage to a 3rd party based on some exclusion in the policy (it's against public interest).
