Will my insurance pay if my wife is not careful and damages the rear of my car while parking in garage? Which policy would pay - home or auto? I have both policies with the same insurer.

You asked this question in the Auto Insurance forum where it properly belongs. It was answered there. This is not a Homeowners insurance claim situation. And the answer was NO.

If this is your car and your house the house damage goes under the house policy (deductible) and car damage under car policy(deductible). If same carrier they may waive one or the other.

Although the information is not wrong, there was no mention of damage to the house/garage in the original post. Vehicle damage only. Why (deductible) is in parentheses is a bit of a mystery.
