It has not been long that I acquired a dog as a pet. He's even undergoing training. Few days back, it bit my neighbor's son who had come in to play. Now my insurer threatens me that they won't renew my policy if i don't get rid of the dog. what shall I do?

This happens all of the time. Most carriers won't write a policy if the home owner has certain types of pets or some will allow one bite but after that they refuse to renew the policy if the dog is still in the home.
You need to have your agent find a carrier who is willing to write the policy. My guess is that it will be very expensive.

That's the reason the insurance companies tend to deny coverage. The kid thinks it's time to play with the dog, and playing to the dog means it's time to bite. After all, the dog has no thumbs with which to grab a bat and club the neighbor's kid over the head with it.So you can look for high cost insurance that might cover one more dog bite incident, you can get rid of the dog, or you can keep everyone away from your yard with chain link fencing and razor wire on top, and hope your dog doesn't get out to "play" with others.
You could also have all of your dog's teeth removed, but that's not a nice thing to do, and it still doesn't prevent the dog from biting someone.
