I have heard it's possible to move a renter's policy if I shift residence. Are there any limitations imposed on the coverage or it can continue as it is? I recently plan to rent a new condo in the neighborhood only.

This is up to your insurance company. Some will and some won't. Your premium won't necessarily remain the same even if you are allowed to transfer the coverage to a new location. It could go up, but is unlikely to go down.
