I had home insurance with GBS for the past 20years , but they were not of any help , when I cancelled it they keep insuring me even if I do not renew it

They cover you through the date you paid for coverage.

If your coverage has been renewed, then you did not cancel it. What leads you to believe you cancelled your coverage?

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean. You may have been insured with the same company for 20 years, but you were only insured one year at a time.
