My co-worker stated that if we were married and he had health insurance coverage and I had seperate health insurance covered (different employers), that the birthday rule would apply even to spouses.....not just the kids...I never heard of this, but he insisted that the borthday rules not only applies to children, but to spouses who have their oven single (EE only) coverage....Please explain. 08/18/2009 Thank you _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

i think its a good idea to have a birthday insurence rather than having a death insurence, i think we should be greatful that we have been given a chace to see the following year so we must make the best of it. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

| "Birthday Insurance"...is there such a thing? I never heard of it (but, of course, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist..LOL). Can someone please explain what it is and how you may go about getting it? |

WRONG. Married or unmarried, living with you or not, student or not, employed or not, if your son has no employer-sponsored health insurance available to him, he may remain as a "dependent" on your own employer-sponsored or individual health insurance plan until he turns age 26, courtesy of the Patient Protection and Afforable Care Act . . . affectionately referred to as Obamacare. _________________ California-licensed Property & Casualty Broker-Agent and Life & Health Agent.
