selling property and casulty insurance

I would like to sell property and casualty insurance, but I am having a hard time finding a company that will accept me as an independent agent. I'm sure seniors who have some P&C experience would come to your help over here. But, I'd personally believe that in order to operate independently in any field, it would be better for you to have some experience..
