You're absolutely right and this often can be mind boggling :( Insurance is still a growing market and more and more companies are popping up in the business everyday. However, IMO you should choose an insurer with credibility and reputation. Before employing your money in the policy, you should investigate into their claim payment history along with the coverage offered by them.

Sometimes taking the feedback and suggestions from the friends and family may help in decision making.

It's very difficult to say, Murph, which company will give you the best coverage for your money. IMO its all depends upon the need of the customer. You'll find that every company in the market has its satisfied set of consumers, who feel that they are receiving the best services in return of their money spend for the coverage. The choice varies from person to person.

The company that will satisfy most of your insurance needs.

I agree with Jeremy, that every company doing business has both satisfied and dissatisfied bunch of customers.

Also, insurance is a highly competitive market and every company thrives to offer the best services to their customers, and giving the opportunity to the customers to shop around whenever they feel the requirement.

For what line of insurance?

As a minimum, you should check with your state's insurance department to make sure that any consider is in good standing.

Also A. M. Best can tell you if the company is stable from a financial point of view.

For health insurance you might want to check to see what doctors accept the plan.

Thanks for the advice,
I just got a health and life insurance license and have gotten quite a few recruiting offers. Some agencies seem to offer one brand and others offer a choice of many companies.

I just want to be sure I am getting with companies that will do right by the people I sign up.

There is one that I really like, it has association group insurance that would seem to give better coverage. Does anyone know about this type of coverage?

Your question is not correct. You should look for the good trustable insurance agent which can save you hundreds or more to creating you the product which covrs your insurance needs.

You can choose the best (or cheapest) product you do not need at all. The expirience insurance advisor is the best insurance product you need. Does not matter what line of insurance.

Each company had different formulas and calculations to figure out quotes for each driver. Polices can vary by as much as $600 for the exact same coverages on the same vehicles and drivers. This is why it is so important to comparison shop for a better quote. Each of the mahor companies are very reliable and can be trusted financially according to their ratings at ambest.com. A driver can find out the companies finacial stability and if the driver would like to look further into a company it can check out bbb.org. One company may put more weight into credit, others into driving record while others are looking at coverage options and risk. The company that offers me the lowest rate based on my driving needs may actually be a lot higher in price to you based on your needs and wants. To make a long story short, there is no easy answer or solution to getting the best auto insurance rate. Each driver must shop around to find their best deal or they could really over pay if they fail to or take short cuts.

STAY AWAY FROM PRIMERICA, AMERICAN INCOME LIFE, NATIONAL INCOME LIFE, AND AMERICO. THERE'S NOTHING THERE BUT TROUBLE.
