my carrier does not provide coverage for new clients at age 64 or above. Is there anything out there for people in this circumstance?

At 65 they will qualify for medicare, med supplements, and medicare advantage.

This really does not help the 64 year olds though...

What type of insurance are you talking about? life, health or auto. Different insurance have different qualifying criteria.

Premium, in most cases, is directly related to the age of the applicant. Therefore, insurance companies often avoid insuring aged people as the premium rate will be skyrocketing.

Also the risks of covering an aged person are higher than covering the young.

Health insurance companies don't like to underwrite 64 year olds because they don't have enough time to recoup the costs involved in underwriting the policy.

Try applying for a short-term policy. Assurant is a company to check out. They do a good job with temporary policies.

You may want to find a carrier that offers Medicare supplement policies. This can be a very good market. Short-term policies can also help increase your income.

If the best carrier for your client can only start them on the first of the month, you will need a short-term policy to properly serve them if they need coverage right away.

I thought you were a agent. I was wondering if you wanted to sell FE to your clients. Sorry for the confusion.
