Hi,

Did you hear about Spectera Inc.?
It is now quite natural for many of the employers to opt for Spectera Inc. for chosen vision services. Spectera Inc. also has a couple of sister concerns in the form of United HealthCare Insurance Company of New York (for NY) & United HealthCare Insurance Company (for the rest of US). Hope it proves good for you!

Spectera is certainly a good option for you to choose. There are some other good options- Alwayscare, Davis Vision, EyeMed & Vision Service Plan (VSP).

VSP, the aforementioned Vision Service Plan, is now offering individual plans. They are relatively cheap and offer great benefits for the purchases you mentioned above. We use them for many of our group clients.

The Federal employees can avail the dental and vision plan under the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program or FEDVIP. It offers benefits to the eligible employees, retirees and their family members. The vision plans are offered by-FEP BlueVision, VSP or the Vision Service Plan and also by Spectra Inc. However, to receive both the dental and vision plan you're required to enroll with separate carriers as none offers the both.

You also have to remain enrolled under the Federal Employees Health Benefit program to satisfy the eligibility criteria of the FEDVIP program. The Postal employees can also receive coverage under this plan.

Hope the input helps.
