| I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. I recently found out my husband did not add medical payments to our policy. I'm stuck having to pay out of pocket, but don't have the money to do so. I have been recommended for physical therapy, but again don't have the money to pay up front. I'm in St Louis, Mo. |

Hey Gee,
I'm truly sorry to hear of your plight!

Has the other party been regarded at-fault?
What does the police report say?
I guess your PIP coverage has lapsed and you are not in a position to feed your medical charges. Please provide us with more information.

| More information is needed. In many states medical payments are included in your basic policy. by this I mean that the state requires the insurer to provide you with a basic amount of insurance, and you must have this basic amount of coverage. I am not familiar with MO law so I cant say that is this case there, but as I said more information is needed. |

Hey Chad, would you tell us more about this type of coverage? Is it medpay you are mentioning? As far I know Medapy too like PIP is an optional coverage in Missouri. IMO the OP can definitely benefit if medical payment coverage is available as basic coverage with the auto policies. |
