Parents of a teenage girl with leukemia are suing Cigna insurance after their daughter died Thursday.

Her death came just hours after Cigna reversed its original decision made two weeks before which the family had been fighting and agreed to pay for the liver transplant her parents thought she needed.

It''s unclear whether the transplant could have saved her life. The family''s lawyer has indicated he''ll be seeking manslaughter or murder charges against Cigna.

And too right they should. They just as good as killed her, this was a case of life and death. Insurance companies are supposed to give people peace of mind, not treat them like playthings.

Yes, it was an experimental treatment, but it will stay like that unless someone decides to take the risk. If that girl got the treatment and was saved by it, even for a little while, it would've looked really good on the insurance companies record.
