| Health Insurance becomes mandatory in Massachusetts |

Last week, Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney signed into law a bill making it mandatory for all Massachusetts residents to purchase health insurance if they're not covered at work, a move many states would like to make. The new Massachusetts law requires all state resident to purchase policies by July 2007 or face tax penalties. Those who can't afford health insurance will be assisted with taxpayer funds.
