Chinese Insurance for bank deposits.
     
A plan has caused anxiety among foreign banks because it might force them to go down the costly and uncertain path of incorporating their branches in China. The report cited officials of the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) as saying that the deposit insurance system would be modeled on a US insurance program and on one that Hong Kong is about to implement.
