Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and ABC, are both sung to the same tune, and the original tune is from the French melody "Ah! Vous Dirai-je, Maman"

The sorcerer in Fantasia, Yen Sid, is Disney spelled backwards.

Ostriches don't bury their heads in sand.

Two Veggie Tales characters are Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato. Cucumbers and tomatoes are actually fruit.

Got any of your own?

Sure do, I'm a mine of useless information!

Let me think...

Lemmings really don't jump off cliffs, that's a myth based on a scene in a 1950's Disney movie. The whole incident was investigated decades later by the Canadian Broadcasting Corp and the sad truth was the filmmakers faked it and actually threw some off the cliff. Look it up if you don't believe me. :D

witty comeback : Clare Booth Brokow, holding a door open for Dorothy Parker quipped " Age before beauty." Dorothy walked through it, saying " Pearls before swine. "

( I just read that one today and filed it away mentally for future use first chance I got!)

The Fantasia one's a good one, I'd never noticed that!

It reminded me of another one along similar lines. Serena Williams (the tennis player) has a clothing range called Aneres, which is her name backwards.

There you go, some trivia to amaze your friends with. They might not want to be your friends after you do though LOL. :D

I love trivia but I have to say that my husband is much better at it than I am, I have never found out the answers to some of the questions. Maybe you could help me out here Quenlin.

1. Why does swiss cheese have holes in it?

2. If they can put one man on the moon, why can't they send all of them there? LOL.

1. Because air bubbles accumulate inside while it's maturing. This is due to the bacteria put into the cheese to make it rot, an essential part of making cheese. Various environmental effects, such as temperature and curing time of the cheese, can affect the size of the holes.

2. Not really worth it, women still need people to boss about when they're in power.

Oh, that just sounds gross, no wonder it tastes the way it does, lol.

True, how true!

Yes we do need them to boss around, to open jars that are closed too tight (which I think they do on purpose) LOL. To take out the trash, mow the grass, go to work and bring home a paycheck (ps, we don't need your help spending it) LOL.

The very first toilet was installed in Buckingham Palace. It was considered a failure and didn't gain widespread usage until 50 years later when a "crapper" valve was invented to prevent the sewer gas from coming in through the toilet. And no the guy that created the crapper valve was not named that, he just thought it was catchy.

In medieval times in some areas you needed consent from the king in order to have sex to produce a child. When you got permission you would be issued a sign you would place on your door when you go to have sex. The sign would say "Fornication Under Consent of the King" and that is how we get a certain four letter word that is almost as bad as W.O.R.K.

And I was off on my time frame and place for the toilet. Thats what I get for trying to use my memory. John Harrington, Godson of Queen Elizabeth, in 1596 created the water closet, used mostly in france and took 182 years to really catch on. But it still lacked the valve which Thomas Crapper gave his name to, but there is still debate on if his name was actually that. And it is from John Harington that we get the "using the john" phrase.
